The wet and cold weather of the Pacific Northwest causes many to hesitate or refrain from getting out into bush. Welcome to Styrmir Gear! My passions are innovative outdoor gear, functional fitness, and Material Science. My goal is to investigate and highlight the science behind Outdoor Fitness Gear that is designed better and designed to last. Gear that is meant for the cold wet climate and will improve physical performance, safety and comfort in the bush. This is for those of us that venture outside hiking and backpacking in the rain, sleet and snow.
